Do your unwanted items need new homes? Are you looking for something? Freegive connects people who are giving and getting stuff for free in their own towns and keeping good stuff out of landfills. It’s completely free to join, and everything posted must be free, legal and appropriate for all ages. Freegive community recycling groups is active in Australia, Canada, UK, USA and other countries across the world.
Here’s how it works: When you sign up with Freegive.co.uk, you join one or more local Town recycling groups. You make posts about things you want to gift or receive. Other members reply and then you arrange a pickup time and location. Just like that, you’ve saved something from going to a landfill and given it a new life.
We’re still passionate about recycling unwanted goods, upcycling and re-use. And we’re here to help you recycle no-longer-needed belongings, or find the perfect item at Freegive group. Our aim is to help people find the things they need and get rid of the things they don’t.
Without the commitment of our loyal members, Freegive wouldn’t be the success that it is. We help people give and get things for free in their local community. Some people have stuff they don’t want any more. Other people would like things they don’t have. We match them up – people give things directly to each other.
Our mission is to build a worldwide sharing movement that reduces waste, saves precious resources and eases the burden on our landfills while enabling our members to benefit from the strength of a larger community.
We don’t sell your behaviour to advertisers, but we do use advertisements to support Freegive. We’d prefer not to, but we don’t raise enough from donations alone to keep going. We welcome donations. Your help is really appreciated.
